The following seats are available for election at the Thursday, February 1st Upper Lynn Canal Advisory Committee Meeting. 

 

•     2 Haines Seats (3-Year Term)

•     1 Skagway Seat (3-Year Term)

•     1 Klukwan Seat (3-Year Term

•     2 Undesignated Seats (3 year-term)

They are currently held by Kip Kermoian, Ayana Young, Luke Rauscher, and Marvin Willard Jr.

Upper Lynn Canal Fish and Game Advisory Committee Meeting & Election

 

The Upper Lynn Canal Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, February 1st , 2024 at 5:30 PM on Zoom. 

Agenda items include:

·         Advisory Committee elections   

·         Other business as needed

 

Meetings are open to the public and all are welcomed to participate. All residents of the area who attend the meeting and are of legal voting age may make nominations and vote on committee membership.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
