Public Facilities has a policy for snow and ice removal for the Haines Borough.  Check out the guidance under our Winter Operations tab for Public Facilities at https://www.hainesalaska.gov/publicfacilities/winter-operations

These are the goals and policy that we have adopted for snow and ice removal in the Townsite.  They include the prioritization of snow removal.  We are still working on a map of prioritized roads to make it easier to find your street.  Main arteries and steep streets are among the first priorities.  Check this out and email either Public Facilities Director Ed Coffland ecoffland@haines.ak.us    or me  akreitzer@haines.ak.us   with questions or thoughts on the policy.
